How to manually cycle Litter-Robot 3? ›

Clean Cycle

The patented sifting system separates the clumps from the clean litter and deposits them into the Waste Drawer below. It takes about 2 minutes. You can also press the Cycle button to start a Clean cycle. During a Clean cycle, press any button to pause the cycle.

Reboot your router and/or modem. While the unit is at the Home position with the solid blue light, unplug your unit from the BASE, not the wall. (For Feeder-Robot, unplug from bottom of unit and plug back in) Wait 15 seconds, plug it back in, and allow it to cycle until the solid blue light comes on (“Ready” status).

Fill the globe through the opening with clumping litter until it meets the raised fill line when spread flat (about 8-10 pounds by weight or 1 gallon by volume). Be careful not to overfill the globe. Then press the Reset button. Litter-Robot's litter sifting system requires clumping litter to work properly.

Litter-Robot 4 features an enlarged waste drawer, so you may only need to empty the waste drawer once every two weeks per one cat. With Litter-Robot 3, once every 10-12 days per one cat is usually sufficient; two cats, twice per week; three cats, every other day, and so on.

If a cycle is interrupted or the bonnet is removed, the unit will stop, and the yellow light will flash slowly, about 1x per second. This will also occur if the cat sensor is activated by a cat entering the globe. The unit will resume its cycle 15 seconds after your cat has left the globe.

You can use it without WiFi, just click the AUTO button and it will enter the sensor cleaning mode.

There are no electronics in the globe or waste drawer, so you can soak these in a tub or hose them down. This will help prevent litter streaking. We recommend using a soft toilet brush to easily access the inside of the globe.

The unit will cycle two additional times before it will no longer automatically cycle. If your unit displays a flashing blue light bar, this indicates that the waste drawer needs to be emptied. Emptying the waste drawer when indicated is important to ensure that your Litter-Robot continues to cycle automatically.

Cycle Button + [8 Hour Sleep Mode]

Press and Release: Pressing the Cycle Button starts the Litter-Robot cleaning cycle. In order to pause the cycle, press any button on the Control Panel during the Clean Cycle. Press Cycle once again to resume the cleaning cycle.
