How to contact an inmate in Marion County Jail, Indiana? ›

INMATE PHONE SERVICES

In order to receive phone calls from the jail, you must first establish an account with our Inmate Phone Company (Securus Tech, Inc.). They can be reached at 1-800-844-6591. Inmates can also make calls by purchasing Calling Cards from the jail.

The Canteen offers the inmates the opportunity to purchase items that are not provided by the facility. The costs of the items provided must be comparable to fair market value of the local community and all proceeds must be used to benefit the overall inmate population.

To fund the inmate's phone account, please go to the Jail Pack Store to deposit funds online for your inmate's canteen account. Funds may also be deposited at the Detention Center through the kiosk located in the lobby. The inmate will transfer the funds to his/her phone account as needed.

Family and friends will exchange Cash App accounts and transfer money back and forth as a means to do something on the inside of the prison (give point and stick tattoos to each other, go to the salon within the prison, exchange contraband within the prison, etc.).

If an inmate asks you to put “money on his book” so he can make commissary purchases there are several ways you can do it; You can MAIL in a money order or cash. We highly recommend that you don't send cash through the mail. Personal checks are not accepted.
