This song has Nogi's vibe like Monopoly, but remind me of suki to iu rock. Still have potential to grow on me like monopoly, cause the instrument quite calming.

But, their Cover was really really Amazing!!! Love the contrast between their outfit with background. My fav was type B, the background was amazing look like Koi's tail and flower. Also, last time when Nagi centering Ohitorisama they were sinking, now they under water Next what will they do?

Reminds me a little bit of these frutiger aero pics full of bubbles.

I like the song, especially the chorus. This song almost gave the same feeling as Sukirock, a rock song with sentimental/mid tempo(?) melody.
Ohitorisama has different vibe and kinda experimental song, so I can't compare with this. I like both tho, this one will get into my playlist.

I read some comment from matome site. Most of fans like Cheat Day song. Only some called it AKB-ish. But, I can see more positive respons there.
Also, they are all agreed on one thing. The lyrics is crappy.

Since it's summer song, it's suitable enough. But with crappy lyrics, when will we get another inochi wa utsukushi vibe song? Or yoakemade? My 2 favorite nogi song

I was right not to expect much, it just doesn't work for me. Ohisama is sooooo much better. I think this will end up like SukiRock or Jikochuu, those Nogi title songs that I never listen in full more than once, haha...
But that's fine if it works for others. For me, I'll wait for the B-sides.

Also, I listen to this song again. I don't know why, the "Hey" part on second verse sound so weak compared to the first verse.

I cannot really tell this song good or not good, but this song is not my taste.

I really miss their old concept. Songs like Romantic Ikayaki, Boku ga Ikanakya, offshore girl, even just coupling yet so warm and memorable summer song.

But it is 2024 and not 2014. The Japan music scene, and music in general, has evolved. Nogi, too. I am just not sure if my taste has. Strike that. I am sure my taste hasn't changed much considering I, too, want a return to an older sound.

A while ago one of my fears was that Nogi songs wouldn't be any good. Lately, that seems to be the case. There are a few I like, but many have been in the obligation listen category for me. Cheat Day quickly fell into that category.

I could not stand Ohitorisama, so I didn't have much hope when they announced it was Nagi center again. But surprisingly, I love this song. A standard idol song, but that's all what I love about J-Pop.

But to be honest, this song should have been given to AKB, I think they would fit this song better.

Nowadays, best thing really is not to expect and I didn't. I just wish it's not the typical summer song and it's exactly what it is. But that's on me, what was I thinking, on a summer release.

I don't care much about the lyrics. I'll read the translation once and forget about it the next day. The song overall isn't that bad for me. It's better that SukiRock, imo. Chorus sounds nice actually. At least once they they perform the song, a change of scenery with 3 5th gen in front. And I love those outfits which I'm pretty sure they will use.

To be honest, I don't understand why they always give similar song style to the repeat center the 2nd time. For example, Asuka with HadaSummer and Jikochuu, Endo with YoakeMade and Gomefin, Kaki with KimiShika and Sukirock, and now Nagi with Ohisama and CheatDay.
I thought if they are going to push someone into center the 2nd time, it would be better to try a different genre to give more exposure to the center.

Nagi fits Zetsubou & Inochi wa Utsukushii type songs better

Nagi may fit these songs, but there is also Ikeda and Aya next to her. So a young and funny song will do. Not the time for a new Inochi with this trio right now.
