The Voxel Hands tool is available in Creative Mode. In Survival Mode singleplayer, enable Creative Tools in the Admin Screen, and in Survival Mode multiplayer, you may need permission to install mods such as Digi's Concrete Tool if you are not the admin.

What are Voxels? Voxel is the technical name for the material that makes up asteroids, planets, and moons in Space Engineers. Just as a pixel is a picture element in 2D graphics, a voxel is a volumetric element in 3D graphics.

Space Engineers concentrates on construction and exploration aspects, but can be played as a survival shooter as well. We expect players will avoid engaging in direct man-to-man combat and instead use their creativity and engineering skills to build war machines and fortifications to survive in space and on planets.

There are three different types of AI blocks: Move, Task, and Combat. They can be recognized by their name and have a correlating icon in their preview image. These blocks work together to allow your grid to perform complex behaviors. Only one block of each type can be active at any time.

Apart from Sabiroids (SPID faction) and Cyberhounds, Space Engineers does not have any Non-Player Characters (NPCs). The only interactive spawns are flying computer-controlled battleships, defense drones, and encounters. NPC ships are members of factions and factions can be friendly, neutral, or hostile to the player.

The game only uses one core for now, and no matter how big your CPU cores are that creates a bottleneck meaning very little GPU is used. It does need a lot of RAM currently. I would suggest at least 16gb, but 8gb works fine if you adjust some settings.

Voxels are values on a three-dimensional grid taking the appearance of a cube. In simplified terms, Voxels are the three-dimensional version of pixels. The advantage of voxels is simplicity while still allowing for good graphics and wonderful gameplay.

Uranium Ore is the rarest naturally-occurring ore. The ore has a dark gray and deep black appearance which is well visible against a sunlit asteroid. As of version 1.189, Uranium ore cannot be found on planets.

The Spawn menu is a creative tool that allows Admins to spawn in items and “cheat in” game objects for free. In Survival Mode, use the Admin Screen to give yourself Creative Tools. The Spawn menu can then be accessed by pressing (SHIFT+F10 key) while a game is running.
