How to reset automatic pet feeder? ›

On the front of the Smart Pet Feeder, you will find the 'feed' button. Press the 'feed' button for 5 seconds. When you hear a beep after about 5 seconds, this indicates that the reset has been performed successfully and the Smart Pet Feeder has been reset to factory settings.

Once the feeder is set up, it will continue dispensing food even if the Wi-Fi is temporarily disconnected. You can also manually feed your pet by pressing the feed button on the machine. Feeding records will sync with the app when wifi is restored, but only if the feeder automatically reconnects.

Instead of measuring in grams, teaspoons, or ounces, the Petlibro uses a product-specific portion system. One portion is equivalent to about 2.5 teaspoons of dry cat food. Depending on the caloric density of your cat's kibble, most adult cats will typically need 16 of these portions per day.

Divide their daily feed into at least four portions instead of 2 for older cats. Set the feeder to dispense the first serving early in the morning, then every 6 hours. This mimics how nursing mother cats naturally feed their litter often.

If the router or internet is not working, try resetting the router or contact your internet provider. Power cycle the feeder by turning off the power switch. Wait 10 seconds and turn the power switch back on. Check for other devices near the feeder that use the internet or other wireless signals (such as a microwave).

Public Wi-Fi is an option for getting Wi-Fi without internet while on the go. Many public places, such as airports, hospitals, malls, some public parks, and libraries offer Wi-Fi to anyone.

If you have a mobile signal but no access broadband, you could buy a dongle to plug into the USB socket on your computer or use your phone or connected tablet as a Wi-Fi hotspot. A dongle or mobile can provide essential internet access anywhere with a 3G, 4G or 5G mobile signal.

Splitting the dry food into multiple small controlled volumes over the course of the day is most useful. That way, the cat is never full and never quite starving. With most cats, dropping below 1/3 to ½ cup of dry food per 24 hour day will make them too hungry even if adequate calories are being taken in.
